A general linear model confirms that paramyosin exhibits statistically significant differences between ESP and tissue (P < 0.0001) and among populations (P = 0.0159), and exhibits a population × tissue interaction (P < 0.0001), indicating that the ESP–tissue difference is larger in some lakes than others
